In order for the formatting of your Title to appear properly to the mobile app user the Table or Contents must be removed.
The Contents or Table have no “operator” role in a mobile app setting. This means they perform no function in the process therefor it is not necessary.
Given the complexity of the differing forms of "Tables or Contents" removing them in any automated way is difficult.
Asking the author to remove is the best solution we could devise at present.
